MacHealth Updates

MacHealth and MacDX are designed to discover macular disease to initiate early referral.  This test is in addition to the tests by your care professionals and does not replace the usual eye examination.

 

White Dark Adaptation Test 

Recovery time greater than 16 seconds in one or both eyes, with the difference between is less than 2 letters, with coefficient of variation less than 20% CV.* Delayed Dark Adaptation recovery may be a sign of macular disease, ask your doctor if you are a candidate for vitamin therapy.

*Test each eye at least 4 times to ensure consistent results.
